Over the past 18 years, Sarath Artham has led managed care organizations to achieve continuous business improvement affecting positive bottom-line performance. His focus is multi-dimensional across all related department structures bringing together teams to better serve populations in shared or full-risk related contractual processes. As one of the founding partners of Apollo Managed Care, Inc., Sarath is responsible for primary corporate leadership and vision, continuous product improvement, strategic growth, organizational technology superiority; ultimately driving performance throughout all levels of the organization. Sarath’s diversity of background, experience and skills originates from his acuity in corporate leadership, team building and development as well as all matters relating to the disciplines of finance, accounting, and technology development. With his wealth of senior leadership experience and inherent talent, Sarath has a unique opportunity to elevate Apollo’s corporate profile and continue to positively influence corporate growth. Mr. Artham is a Certified Cost Accountant and holds a Master's Degree in Accounting as well as Information Technology from Osmania University, India. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Medical Group Association (AMGA) and America’s Physician Groups (APG).
Chief Financial Officer
Chuka brings to Apollo over 16 years of combined experience as a certified public accountant and financial officer. Mr Chidi's background includes strengths such as financial strategy, day to day finance and accounting functions for businesses with annual sales in excess of $100 million. As an executive team member, he participates in expense forecasting, tax planning, and cash management/investment strategies.
Compliance and Privacy Officer
In her role as the Compliance and Privacy Officer of Apollo Managed Care, Inc. Viri is responsible for ensuring that ongoing operations are in compliance with established corporate policies and procedures. Ms. Naranjo also serves as the Chair for our Quality Oversight Committee and is instrumental in developing and implementing business development and operational strategies and tactics for Apollo. In her previous role, Viri assisted one of the largest Medi-Cal IPA’s in Northern California through various clinical acquisitions. Her background provides a solid understanding of managed care processes that help align internal procedures in order to achieve consistent quality cross-departmental performance Viri earned a Master of Business Administration Degree from California State University, Sacramento and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from California State University, Northridge.
Founder of Apollo Managed Care and Clinical Editor
Dr. Margaret Bischel graduated from the University of Oregon School of Health Sciences, followed by a residency and fellowship in Internal Medicine and Nephrology at Los Angeles County-University of Southern California Medical Center. She subsequently was a member of the USC medical school faculty for several years. Dr. Bischel is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians.
She is a leader in her field who has published over 30 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals. While employed as a Medical Director at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL, Dr. Bischel served as President of Medical Staff, then helped establish the Lutheran General Hospital Physicians Association and was appointed to the Lutheran General Health System Board of Directors.
Moving her practice to California, Dr. Bischel founded Apollo Managed Care Consultants to support the efforts of her fellow physicians to improve patient outcomes through managed care. This work led to printed reference materials highlighting medically-accepted best practices and criteria of care. Dr. Bischel continues to be an active, driving force in Apollo's commitment to supporting the needs of the medical community.
Dr. Bischel has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who, publisher of Who’s Who in America. In addition to this recognition for many years, Dr. Bischel was recently selected by the Marquis Research Committee to receive the “Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement award”.
Dr. Raj Ramsamooj received his MD from the University of Minnesota followed by residency at Stanford University. He completed a Surgical & Transplant Pathology Fellowship at the University of Minnesota. He spent 18 years at UC Davis Medical Center as a Professor and Anatomic Pathology Director as well as Vice Chair of Graduate Medical Education in the Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine. He is currently Assistant Dean of Curriculum at California Northstate University.
While at UCDMC, he developed QA/QC initiatives for the Division of Surgical Pathology and the Residency Program. His current focus at Apollo Managed Care is revising and developing health care guidelines as well as outreach.
